Snow

We had 21 inches of snow in 1973, and I suffered some hardship, along with the rest of my family,
so I always say I hope I never see another flake. A couple of inches like we got early yesterday is OK,
long as it goes away quickly. Here is the fron yard and the farmhouse, also 125+ years old.

We don't get it often, so when we do, we go overboard with pictures. I'm somewhat of
a curmudgeon, but my wife forces me out for the picture-taking.
This is one of me by one of the 125+ year-old barns on the place.

I like pictures of old barns and buildings. Do the boards on the side of the building over lap or am I not seeing it correctly? Larry

I still see grass in the background!!

We've had maybe 6 -8 inches this year in 2 or 3 snow falls. Winter isn't over yet but it's been pretty mild with the snow.

Here's one from 2 years ago. I took this picture around 1am. It had been snowing heavily all day, in 24hr we got close to 30 inches. I didn't want to shovel all of the next day so I'd go out every few hours and shovel what fell. Even doing that it took me another 4hrs the next day.

In the 1st picture that snow is waist high. 2nd picture is the before I made the walkway in picture 1

Snow again!

No photos but it has snowed here on the Texas coast twice this winter! Once earlier, in December when we got a couple inches, and again this past Tuesday where it melted immediately on hitting the ground, except for the stuff that stuck to the tarps that were covering the orange trees. It hung around til the next day,

I'm in the Blue Ridge mountains of Southwest Virginia. We got 2" yesterday. What was a bit funny was that Danville VA, in the Piedmont, got around 9".

We got about 9" here in Durham:eek::eek: Friends about 10 miles West of me got 12".

That's a nice photo...so is the one of your home! I envy you, living on some land and in a house that has some age and some history to it. If I lived there, I'd never leave.

I don't know how much snow we ended up getting here in the part of North Carolina where I live. Don't much care...it was a good little bit, I think.

All I know is that it's going away much too fast to suit me. I've been a wintertime person for as long as I can remember, and if I could, I'd live somewhere where life and lifestyle are centered around real winters instead of this part-time winter we have here.

I made some photos out in the woods and fields where the dogs and I go walking most every day. Here are a couple of them. I think if you click on the photos, you can see a larger version.

You know something think about this we never did see snow in Mayberry or petticoat junction?

Redlevel you have a awesome looking place there looks like heaven. Thanks for posting pics.

It’s been so cold here we’re having ice jams on the rivers. There sending one coast guard ice breaker up one river.

Wish I was living in the high plains.
