Snubby Kit Gun

Nice!
My snubby kit gun is a 34-1, and the only thing I would change about it is make it an 8 or 9 shot instead of just 6.
I have always wondered why it took over a hundred years for S & W and Colt and more recently Ruger to figure out it would be a great idea to bore more than 6 holes in the cylinder if there was room for more. 😳

What is this, custom build, dream photoshop ?
Looks sharp in any event.

Thanks. It's now a Colt standard catalog item, along with a 3". Seems like it came out quietly.

I added the grips (Thailand) but otherwise the 2" model comes stock with a brass bead front. Not a fan of the FO fronts on the 4.25", but easy to change.

I’ve got a 4” and 5” Mod 63s but my only snubby “kit gun” is an 8 shot Charter Arms Pathfinder. I’ve got a little over $200 in it.View attachment 776138
SWEET! I know people like to bash Charter arms, I've had a number over the years and the only trouble I ever had was someone always wanted them more than I did.
Guess my snubby kit gun would be my NAA, though truth be told my Kit Gun is a Single six, not concerned about concealing a kit gun. The Mrs. has her S&W 851-1 4".

Pretty cool thanks for info, I'll say it sure was quiet not a peep on Colt forum so far surprisingly. Had conversation with friend other day that wanted a return of diamondback snub my thoughts were it could easily be done with new KC 22lr platform, who cares about name.

My very first handgun was (and still is) an aluminum framed High Standard Sentinel Deluxe Snub. These came in 9 shot versions only. Here it was 50 years ago, I’d never even heard of a “Kit Gun” and I had one! How about that? 😁

I have 2 34–1’s and what a blast they are to shoot. S&W make a few different .22lr’s and how I enjoy shooting them all, along with my model 48.

This qualifies as a 22lr kit gun. It is a lightweight, delicate looking, H&R 9 shot top break, auto-ejector. It is extremely accurate & highly recommended.. Posing with its big brother model 999 22lr sporstsman.
I have been on the lookout for one of those. What barrel lengths did they come in?
How much do they bring nowadays?

Back in the 80's I picked up a little Model 34 Kit Gun, 2 inch with a square butt. Bought it for the wife to shoot but later discovered the DA was too heavy for her to pull. The little M34 also suffered from 22LR S&W syndrome, where every fired case had to be driven out of the cylinder, no matter how clean I kept the chambers or what type or brand was fired. That little gun could be very accurate when fired in single action & I put it to good use a few times finishing off rabbits that had only gotten "winged" by the .410 shotgun I had borrowed from my brother in law. Ultimately the M34 got traded in towards something else. Now I kind of wish I had kept it and had the chambers reamed and had the action tuned so the DA was actually usable.

My first .22 revolver was a Charter Pathfinder- completely trouble free, unfortunately I didn’t appreciate what I had and bought a 63, trading away the Pathfinder.

Just had to have the new S&W 63, nothing but trouble, sold off. Then found an older S&W 34, again nothing but trouble, not much better than the 63, went down the road.

Found a S&W 18, although it is of course a K frame, not a kit gun size, way better than the 63 and the 34, but still not as good as the original Pathfinder.
