So what handguns are you looking for next?

I am currently thinking about buying either S&W Model 64 .38 caliber revolver or a

S&W Model 686-6 .357 magnum revolver with a 4 inch barrel and 6 shot cylinder.

"So what handguns are you looking for next?"

I'm still sort of looking for a 36-1 Heavy Barrel (3-inch blue), and the older, the better. I've found a couple, but they've been a little more worse for wear than I'd prefer. I'm confident one will turn up one of these days when I have the money.

The list is ever changing but...
Sig P239 SAS Gen II in 357 sig
S&W 627 pc 2.65"
Ruger Wiley Clapp SP101
Ruger Redhawk 4.2" 45 Colt
S&W 29 3"
S&W 629-4 3"
S&W 686-4 + 2.5 or 3" Roundbutt

627 V-Comp, it's on its way and should be here in October.

Then a Glock 34 for IPSC Standard

I have found quite a few nice guns lately, a 617 4 in. a Model 21 Thunder Ranch, a 629-3 mountain gun, a 15-4 nickel snubby today, and have coming from a member here a 696 no dash. And a Marlin 336A-35 Rem. built the same year I was. So my answer is also I don't know till I see it. I know it has to have a short barrel though.

4" model 29
4" model 625 prelock
3" 686-4 or -5 prelock (unsure if this configuration was actually made, was it??) if not I'd get it with a lock

My favorite handgun is my 10 shot S&W 617 with a 6" barrel. I don't want it to be lonely so I want one with a 4" barrel.
I have also been lusting after a Model 627 or an M&P R8...or both!
I have 2-686+ revolvers, one with a 4" bbl and another with 6" bbl. I want one with a 3" barrel.
No particular order acquiring the above revolvers, they are all hard to come by so I'll get 'em when and if I see them for a reasonable price.

In no particular order:

686+ 3" or 4"
610 3"
617 no preference on length
640-1
65 3"
629 5"

All pre-lock of course. :)

Well, as mentioned in post #15, I picked up both the Smith & Wesson Model 19 and the Colt New Service yesterday. Found them both at my LGS and at less than $500.00 each I think I did pretty well. Both have some finish wear, especially the Colt (about 5% left) but for being made in 1937, that's expected. Both lock up tight as a bank vault and timing is spot on. The Colt has faux ivory stocks and I'll probably keep them on it. It looks pretty good wearing them. Here are a couple of pics.

For me a 610 and a 310. My wife is trying to decide on a 38 or 357 revolver but I have to get her into the gun store so she can hold them. In the SA world a Ruger Buckeye in 38-40/10mm convertible unless Ruger starts making a new revolver in 40S&W/10mm convertible.
