For sale is an early Smith & Wesson 1st Model of 1896, 32 S&W, 3.25", Nickel, s/n 4622 with all numbers matching. The gun shows normal wear for 122 years of service, it is fully functional, and in good overall condition. It does show some light pitting in the barrel near the muzzle. This gun was shipped to H.M. Quirk of the Philadelphia Police Department on April 11, 1900, Mr. Quirk was the Superintendent of police for the city of Philadelphia at the time. He was also an officer in the Civil War and a Pennsylvania State Representative. He served in the Philadelphia police department from 1884 to 1904. The historical letter and other documents are included, as is the box which is not numbered to the gun. This gun is listed as an antique by the ATF and will be shipped directly to you.
