SOLD S&W 686-4 4" .357 mag *DESCRIPTION UPDATE* *FURTHER REDUCED PRICE!* $780 shipped
For Sale: S&W Model 686-4, 4" barrel, .357 magnum/38 special. Gun is in excellent shape and just came back from the Smith & Wesson Performance Center where it had timing work done to it and work to fix some cylinder binding that made the hammer a little difficult to fully cock back in single action. Low round count. Extremely accurate! Great timing and lockup. Smooth double and single action. Round butt. Hogue grips. Serial number BUHxxxx.
PM me with any questions.
***Description Update***********************************
I've gotten several PMs about this gun's trip to Smith & Wesson for warranty repair. I've updated the description with this addendum. I don't exactly know if the term "cylinder binding" is the correct term to use for the issue I was experiencing that led me to send the gun to Smith & Wesson's Performance Center. With a loaded cylinder, sometimes the hammer would be a little difficult to completely cock back. This happened approximately 10-15% of the time. It cocked back fine every time with an empty cylinder - no issue at all. I sent it to Smith and Wesson and they said there was a "timing issue" which they fixed since now I haven't experienced that issue any longer. I use factory Federal American Eagle 158 grain JSP ammo. I test fired 18 rounds after getting it back from S&W and the action is smooth and crisp. No issues. I am not the original owner. I bought it from a dealer off Gunbroker about three years ago. Buy with confidence. This gun works and is beautiful! I think I've priced it at a bargain.
