Hello Forum Members!
I have come across some S&W stocks that appear to be from the late 1940's-1950's that I am not certain if that is correct.
I have looked through all three Catalog of S&W books that I have and that is the approximate age that I can find at least.
Just looking for some verification and approximate values if possible.
I plan on posting a for sale ad in the Classified Section of the Forum once I get the facts as close as possible.
I have photographed both front and back of each and notated the stamped-in serial numbers and alphabetic ID if included. Only a single set/pair has the diamond shape around the screw bezel. One also has been slightly damaged at some point in its life by the user using a screwdriver with a blade that was too wide and made a chip in the checkering next to that bezel (Circled in red).
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks so much to the experts on this Forum!
