In the event I was privy to his actual social media posts I would or wouldn't become agitated at his situation.

My guess however, is that I would not; his own mom's opinion of whether her son should have been granted admittance into this country notwithstanding.

How folks conduct themselves while guests in my home is a deciding factor over whether or not they'll be allowed to re-enter the house in the future.

As long as the "guest" follows the law and not some individuals interpretation of how "guests" should act. This isn't just my house. It belongs to all the "guests" here and should be as inclusive as possible. That's America.

2) What have Border Patrol been told to look for, or have they been told to "use their judgement".

It still is beyond my understanding as to why so many feel the need to share their thoughts on everything from politics to burritos with the entire world. To paraphrase: "It is better to be thought a fool, than to post on social media and remove all doubt in perpetuity".

Fortunately I use my full name in my social media accounts, but misspelt my first name by transposing two letters and not noticing. Still, I have googled myself and there are a few things there.

We are all "guests" and stakeholders as you put it. Not one of us can claim ownership of this nations assets that all ""guests" have contributed to these last 2-1/2 centuries. We're all on a journey passing through. I do agree that the people coming here should show that they're intentions are to not be a burden.

ANY site that says I require to log in via Google is somewhere I do not need to go.

Re pet sitting etc, the US is EXTREMELY sensitive about work permission. When I had my Green Card interview having left my previous employment I got asked if I had been working at least four times. A Welsh girl spent 10 days in Border Patrol custody before being shipped back to the UK after admitting she had been cleaning for lodging while traveling here. HUGE no-no.

Just to be clear. I do not support those who commit crimes while visiting here. BUT, according to our Constitution EVERYONE who is here is entitled to a hearing and a jury before being found guilty of anything. Besides that I believe we should treat people from other countries as we would want treated in others. Just because some third world country does or doesn't do something doesn't mean it is fine for the United States to display the same mentality and deplorable behavior. We should be above that.

Besides that if the Dept of Justice and others are allowed to circumvent the Constitution when dealing with non citizens and suspected non citizens, don't be all the surprised when they start doing it to citizens too. Things like "We haven't got time or money to give everyone a trial", can very easily become we haven't got time or money to give anyone a trial. Slippery slope and all that.

Just say its a "national emergency". Someone should read the definition of "emergency"

Its not a war its a "conflict" worked several before, costing 10s of thousands of lives and trillions of dollars while solving absolutely nothing. But, while they were initially good for polling numbers and made a ton of money for defense contractors and those who invest in them before the public got sick and tired of them.
