Primers at $80 per thousand is same as gas at $5 a gallon. No reason to get excited about getting shafted.

better than 100 on up. the fact that they have been available ALL DAY says they got them in quantity.

update. Still there 10pm PST

If there is a HAZMAT fee, then $80/1k becomes $104/1k, which is the price I am seeing in my local retailer. If I were to pay $104/1k, I'll buy local and help keep a local business going.

Pistol and small rifle primers are available on most websites and also at my local dealers. Large rifle are in very short supply and expensive. A month ago some where available on line at $165 a 1000. Now that is expensive

My LGS recently got in both Small Pistol and Small Rifle, no Large of anything. Price $80 on either P/1000. I'm glad to see availability going up and price coming down, but I think it will go even lower. I think (eventually) will bottom out about $50 P/1000.

I suspect so too. I just wanted to post availability for those who don't have local options.

I have lent out some SPP and powder over the past 2 years to very good friends. I couldn't charge them because they are friends. I told them to replace them when they could. Back then none of us thought when the primers came back they would be so expensive. Post previous shortages have produced only small increases in prices.

Well, just last week I got my first returns from those SPP I lent out. A few weeks ago I got back the W231 I lent out too. Now I'm only waiting on 5K SPP but I will wait until they are comfortable with the price they pay.

The whole point is, if I lived closer to some of the guys here who are desperate for LRP I would consider try to help them out. There is almost nothing worse than not being able to shoot. (although not fishing would be worse for me!)

Visited my local fishing/hunting/gun/pawn shop yesterday. CCI small primers now available and down to $80/1k. That's better than the $104/1k they were a few weeks ago, but hoping they go down even more.

Different perspectives, I guess. It's hard to put a price on the enjoyment of a fascinating hobby like handloading. $80 to have primers in hand seems far better to me than to do without and and wait for a price that may never be; perhaps another form of "shafted".

Yep...agreed . I'd buy them for that price . In fact I already have.
