Some questions about the 9X23 Winchester

Hello everybody, I have some questions about the 9X23 Winchester caliber:

There are some revolvers chambered for the .38 Super auto caliber, like some models 627 or 686 of S&W. Is it possible to shoot the 9X23 caliber Winchester in them in a safety way? Do they use the same moon clips in both calibers?
I heard that is possible to make the 9X23 cutting the .223 o .222 cases to 23 mm, is it true?
One of those reloads using .223 or .222 loaded at .38 super levels can feed a normal semiautomatic .38 super pistol? Or is a re-chamber need because the lack of the semi rimed cases?

Hannibal,

You cannot shoot 9x23 in a revolver chambered for .38 Super. The base of the case is too large to chamber in the Super chamber and would require the gun be re-chambered.

But you can re-chamber a 38 Super or 357 Magnum cylinder and once it is done safely shoot 9x23, 38 Super, 9MM, 380 and others in it. All in the same moon clip

With 2 cylinders it will even still shoot 357 Magnums

I'm sure Mr. Barca is more concerned about the restrictions of firearm chamberings and ammunition caliber restrictions than USPSA shooting.
In any case, the .223 and .222 are slightly smaller at the base and rim than the 9x23 or 9x19, etc. You may be able to try different brands of .223 brass and try it, but I would just buy a few boxes of Winchester 9x23 and reload them.
IIRC Winchester still makes 9x23 in a FMJ load as well as STHP.
And, if you are firing them in a revolver, you wouldn't have to trim them too much since they don't headspace on the case mouth.
