It appears the department stores aren't the only ones early with the decorations. I went into the kitchen to make some coffee and I happened to see movement on the back porch. It's a covered porch, so it's often you see animals sheltering from the rain there. Usually squirrels and the like although I once saw a thoroughly soaked opossum curling up in an old flower pot. There's a bench out there with an old throw pillow on it that the cat likes to lay on.
Well, eventually it finally wore through to the poly filling in spots.
So, what do I see but a squirrel, busily ripping out the poly fuzz and stuffing his cheeks full. Gotta line that nest, it's gonna get cold. He finally filled his cheeks and it was overflowing out his mouth, but he kept stuffing it in there. When he finally decided it was enough, the white fluff hanging out of his mouth looked like a Santa beard. He gave me a quick look and ran off to finish his home improvement project.
It was too quick to get a pic and I was laughing too hard anyway.
