Stealthgear

comparison pics of the shield in the Onyx and the 9C in the mini
the mini seems to slightly have a bit more of a forward cant that really makes this thing comfy and disappear when I wear it.

I nearly went with the Stealthgear, but their crazy wait times, and price made me pick Alien Gear instead, I got the OWB Mod and the IWB 3.0 for less than $85 shipped for my Shield 45, if I dont like them, Ill return them and get the Stealthgear

I am glad that you posted this comparison picture. After reading many reviews, watching many videos and reading this thread, I have decided to order a Stealthgear IWB for my shield but was undecided between the onyx or the mini.
I think I will go with the mini. :)

Stealthgear. Alien Gear uses the same backing piece for all of their holsters. For a full size gun it's not a problem , with anything smaller, the clearance under your middle finger is insufficient and it is actually painful to draw. ot o 4:09 of this video and you will see the exact same issue I had trying to use this with my shield.

I did lots of research before choosing the Alien Gear, they do not (at least now they dont) use the same backer for all weapons, they use a micro backing for the compacts and Shields........

I am going to ask: How and why is this holster so expensive? It's plastic. Just like any other Kydex. Leather holsters are worth more, and can be had for less than half of this.
