Accumulator = a bunch of guns
Collector = a carefully selected bunch of guns
Stockpiler = crates of guns
Expanded slightly, for clarity.
Accumulator = Owns "a bunch of guns," ammunition, handloading supplies, along with other things indicating depravity like: camping gear, fishing tackle, knives (yes, kni
Ves) - maybe even mountaineering equipment! Sometimes has ammunition that fits guns he doesn't even own any longer. Usually has been shooting and/or hunting since a young boy. Still shoots regularly, or at least more than every now and then. Generally will exist very clandestinely! Few "responsible citizens" (i.e. non-gun-owners) who know him and associate with him would even imagine what a terrible danger he could be! Only the electronic media and liberal politicians can fully grasp the danger.
Collector = Owns carefully selected guns (and sometimes accessories) that usually have some historical significance that is generally obscure to everyone except other collectors. Stores and maintains their guns very carefully, even meticulously. (This in and of itself probably indicates some sort of mental imbalance.) Not necessarily too interested in shooting or hunting, but sometimes owns and uses "shooter grade" guns for that purpose. Generally regarded as not too dangerous, but still bears watching. (You can't trust ANYONE who owns guns...

)
Stockpiler = A identified "crackpot!" He has bought and set aside weapons off and on at different times in his life, depending on his level of interest at the moment. (Probably owns maybe 3-5 guns. Half of them may be rusty, temporarily misplaced, have broken parts, or non-functional for one reason or another.) Sometimes shoots, far more often does not. Probably doesn't own enough weapons and ammunition to keep an ordinary Accumulator amused for more than one week, maybe two at most. Of extreme concern to journalists and legislators when they somehow "discover" him. Viewed statistically, the Stockpiler is no more dangerous than an Accumulator or a Collector, maybe even less so, but because he has somehow flipped the journalist's alarm-switch, in an instant, he becomes as terrifying as the low-hanging radioactive cloud coming from a run-away nuclear power plant.
