Stop blaming men for small pockets!

I've been down this road with the Wife. She WILL NOT carry IWB or AIWB-period. So, what works in her Patagonia Pants with small front slash pockets best is a Baby Browning in a pocket holster. A Beretta Jetfire is too hard to cock & too thick for NPE. A .25 is underrated caliber IMO and allows her to "have a gun". She also has small hands, so the size is small, but it works for her Sz Sm Women's hands. A Bauer .25 would work too. But, the BB's just tend to work if cleaned & lubed properly- Bauer's are hit or miss. For a load, the S&B 50gr FMJ does the trick. It's no gun at all, or this: I pick this.

It's not only women who must deal with small jeans pockets: many men's jeans manufacturers (notably Wranglers, in my experience) have found they can save a penny or two per unit by shrinking the front pockets an inch or so. My local seamstress gets a visit from me as soon as I've washed any new jeans a few times and she'll add whatever amount of depth I need. Just be sure the pocket top is cut large enough to allow a hands-on, not just a two-fingered, draw and that the overall cut of the jeans will satisfactorily conceal the chosen firearm even with the deepened pocket.

I don't know if it will work for your wife's situation but my wife when working tended towards lightweight sleeveless cardigans over whatever top. Pretty comfy according to her and they hang to or past the hips so should help conceal most IWB carry.

Spring boarding off the vest/cardigan suggestion, if that is acceptable, it is VERY easy to add an inside pocket and turn the vest into essentially a shoulder holster.
You could certainly do that but it would need to be a considerably heavier material than I was thinking of here. Not a bad idea, just a different direction.

My kid already says I look like a cop. Putting any kind of a bag around me anywhere is not going to help.

Outpost 75, I am assuming you are not married to a woman going through menopause. None of what you recommended would work. Lose pants with an IWB is about the best bet right now. Just need to figure out the shirt situation. She does wear a vest at work. We did talk about an ankle rig but that might be the last resort. She is going to have to go out and look for men's pants with bigger pockets. Looking at a BG 2.0 with pocket holster.
No.longer married, but worked with several female UCs, all pre-menopause.
