Stop me before I buy again!

$200 range membership ?? what you get unlimited free range !!! :)

No! discounted at 67%. $6.00 per hour. High but no alternative.
It is an indoor range five minuets from my house and air conditioned and filtered air. I can't shoot outside (local ordinance), so it 's that or nothing.

DIYguy,

I've assessed your post and have determined that you're perfectly normal. In fact, you have the most enviable condition of wise spending of money. Even better, while I don't own one, from what I've learned, the M&P is an excellent handgun and a very fair price. I have never heard of one failing.

Pull the trigger. Buy that bad boy. You can never have too many excellent guns. And the .40 S&W is a proven cartridge. With 180 grain bullets, it has impressive momentum, which is arguably the most crucial metric when it comes to self-defense.

My gun club "senior" membership is only $50. a year. It is open every day except for Good Friday, which is a volunteer work day.

$50 is acceptable, but $200 is outrageous, between all the three indoor ranges that I visit there is only one that charges membership, but it is only 15.00 per year ;)

People shoot outdoors in St. Louis all the time!

The indoor range I belong to is supper nice and I can shoot up to a 308. I pay $250 a year for 7 day a week unlimited time for 363 days a year. It also gives me a 10% discount on anything in the store. I get the $50 off for being active, retired military or LE/Fireman so only pat $200. I shoot a minimum of 4 days a week so it is well worth it. I get a month added on for every gun I buy from them so am way ahead of the yearly fee.

And you live in Miami?! Nowhere near that amount in Tampa - minimum is much, much, much more at an indoor range:(

Wasn't that the intent of the one gun a month program?

You HAD to buy one gun every month!

Or else face government action.
I have long supported ONE-GUN-A-MONTH... minimum. :D

We aren't much help.....more like gun buying enablers "GBE".

As soon as you run out of money or get a wife the gun buying comes to a screeching Halt...Trust me !

I say buy them while you can , because your gun buying days are not going last .

Gary

There is problem with you saying that as soon as he gets a wife, the gun buying comes to a screeching halt..

My husband proudly brags that I have more guns that he does. I have been a slacker though.. I have only bought 3 in the past year. And I am eagerly awaiting parts to improve my already pretty darn awesome Weatherby .308 rifle.

Not every spouse puts a halt to the gun addiction.

The good news is that you are finally accepting that you may have an addiction. The bad new is that there is no cure. Welcome to the club!

My wife is from LA and does NOT like guns. However, last November she went to LA to visit son and new grandbaby for three weeks. While she was gone bought an AR-15 and M&P40. Her daughter narked on me and I got the angry wife phone call. "why do you need an assault rifle!!" I don't, I wanted one.
Wife is currently in LA again for three weeks, added a Springfield 1911 Range Officer competition 45 in stainless plus the M&P 40 Pro Saturday.
She knows about some of them but not all of them. Locked in the safe.
She is getting better though, now I get the occasional "another one?"

It sounds as though fellow members are trying to stop you from buying again...by elbowing you away at the gun counter as they buy :).

STOP ME

We all have addictive personalities, but for a good cause:p I think-don't we ??:o

You married a liberal too? Sounds like some firearms education is needed. Assault Rifles are military items and feature selective fire capability.

My wife, even though on occasion she will accompany me to the range, will say if i pick up a new MP "well they all look the same to me...".
My comeback could have been "kinda the same for all your Kate Spade purses"....

But as we are about to celebrate our 30th anniversary, and I'd like to look forward to another 30 great years, I keep those snappy comebacks to myself lol.
Life is too short to rain on another's hobby.

;)
