Anyone watch the television program Stranger Things? It is on Netflix and I like it a lot, two seasons so far.

It is set in the 80's and there are several scenes with some cool Smith & Wesson revolvers. The chief of police in the show, Jim Hopper, carries a Model 66 no-dash for instance.

The show also potrays firearms ownership in a pretty good light I think. I won't spoil it but very early on we see a kid character load and use a .22 rifle in his shed. That scene probably offended some who wish to ban firearms!

Worth a watch. Not for the kiddies but very well done and interesting if you like horror/sci-fi retro stuff.

My son turned us on to it.....

...and I think it's darned original and well produced.

Something else that I haven't tried yet is a show called 'Dark' that is a mind bending show about time travel. I'm not as interested in this genre of way out Sci Fi as I used to be, and I try to limit my intake of fictional TV, but I think it's great how the quality of writing has become more common with more networks being more 'adventurous' in their offerings instead of a appealing to the lowest common denominator.

I still love the old Outer Limits, Twilight Zone, Star Trek and even some of the X Files episodes were downright scary.:D

Enjoyed both seasons. As a child of the 80s the pop culture references were particularly fun to watch.
