So after two years I'm finally getting around to sending my 15-22 back to S&W to get the ejector fixed. I went to the S&W site and submitted a warranty repair request and got an acknowledgement page with a confirmation number. But that was it. No email or anything.

So am I waiting for them to send me a shipping tag in the mail?

Hmmm. I submitted mine Monday afternoon CA time so they would have seen it Tuesday. Still nothing.

So they send an email with the return shipping label?

I did not go to their website, but called them directly. When I explained my problem, the tech guy immediately sent me an e-mail which included the return repair mailing label. Then I dumped the file to my printer and that was it! Off and running..... :D It was less than 2 week turn-around..... Now all is well! :D

It took 4 days for me to get the email, then another 4 days for a fedex label to arrive in the mail...

I was SOOOO anxious I just about could not deal with it...

In the end, the repair was done in about 2 weeks, and all my FTF, FTL, FTE, and stove-pipes are a thing of the past....

So after three online submissions and I finally got the shipping label email on April 19. Boxed the 15-22 and took it to the local FedEx office on Saturday, April 21. Checked the FedEx tracking page and saw that it was shipped out on Monday the 23rd...then nothing. No tracking updates for 10 days.

So I called FedEx and was told that 5 days was the standard trip time from CA to MA, and that they would start a trace. Turns out that my 15-22 had been in a holding station in SLC as the label had fallen off the box. They contacted me as well as S&W and sent it on it's way on the 4th and delivered it to S&W on the 7th.

And there it sits, in S&W's receiving dock as it still has not been logged into their system. I've talked to their service rep several times and have only been told that they're extremely backlogged in their receiving dept. :(

Good thing I have my M&P15 Sport to occupy my time while it's away.

Got a call from S&W this morning telling me that my 15-22 has finally been logged in and is on its way to the repair shop.

Sending mine back was the best "upgrade" I ever did to the 15-22. It did not like many/any ammo very much. After sending it back it eats everything with no issues.

Finally got my 15-22 back yesterday...so a month and week including the FedEx mishandling. Sadly no free mag came back with it, just the eight I sent in with the rifle for testing.

I'm looking forward to trying it out at the range this weekend.
