Summertime carry options

Cook is saying the PPK/s holster won't work on a PPK ...... but your's does?

Also available for the S&W 3913................. ordered one $25 + shipping $5.

Not sure why the PPK doesn't appear on their list of models, but I guess I ordered the one for the PPK/s and it works fine, as you can see from the photo.

Edited to add: since we're talking about summertime carry and since my 3913 is my only other stainless pistol (and resistant to sweat, hopefully), after thinking about how pleased I have been with this arrangement, I took your cue and ordered a holster of this type for that pistol, also.

Consider This

I live in Florida and wear shorts and T-shirt or a polo shirt nearly every day.
I find that pocket carrying a small auto suits this attire best. My Kahr P380 in a DeSantis pocket holster in the front pocket of my cargo shorts practically disappears and is very comfortable.
I live in the Tucson area and shorts and T-shirt is practically formal wear here eight months out of the year. Look into Remora's full sweat shield IWB holster. I use one daily with a Shield. My only complaint is it gets wet in the area touching the skin. Doesn't penetrate to the pistol. And, it seems a bit more bulky than their holsters (or Sticky's) without the full sweat shield. Works well with a T-shirt.
I like Sticky's material better__seems smoother and thinner but Sticky doesn't offer one with a full sweat shield.
The regular ones with out the full sweat shield cause sweat to gather on the grip area. Don't like that.

Sneaky Pete

Sneaky Pete makes a holster that looks like an I-phone case that you wear on your belt....pretty neat.
I have one for my Shield (with 7 Round mag) and actually haven't worn it in public. There's on way it'd pass for a cell phone holder, too big. Heard one poster mention, when asked he told the person "It's my purse"!
Maybe if I wear it a few times I'd get accustomed to it.
Right now I'll stick with my Remora full sweat shield holster. These do work well with a T-shirt but__not as comfortable as the Remora or Sticky (My favorite of the two brands) without any sweat shields.
Stay safe.

Cargo shorts and front pocket carry of a 642. Just can't bring myself to use a pouch or fanny pack. When wearing long pants it generally cargo pants or dockers so I still have a loose front pocket

In the summer I wear a belly band (AlphaHolster Belly Gun Holster) with holster(s) and two mag pouches. Wear a loose shirt over it and you have no problems. I wear mine on the left side like an appendix carry with the top of the bellyband about 1/2" above my pants top. I carry a M&P 45 Shield or a Ruger SR40C with no problems. I really love the belly band and it's much better and comfortable for me than all the IWB holsters I have tried. It was really my last resort for summer carry and I'm glad I tried it. The worst IWB holster I tried to wear, and like, was the Alien Gear 3.0 Tuck - sorry to say, it's a very nice holster, but I just could not stand it, too wide for my boney hips. If you haven't tried a belly band holster, spend $14 - $20 at Amazon, and if you don't like it you can return it - free return shipping. But, I think you may like it, I certainly did.

Is it hot? I'm in south ga it's a billion degrees and humid

I carry this in NW Florida more than any of my other guns.

Mostly because it is small and fits in my pocket and even in a bathing suit pocket. Yeah, not the best man stopper but it is something I will actually carry in the summer heat here.

Just tell "em" that lump under your shirt is a colostomy bag......Watch their facial expression as they H>A away.
Very good answer. I HAD a colostomy bag for 6 months, reversed and closed 3 years ago. Hard to describe in a few words how life altering it was.
For the heat of the summer I carry a BG380 in a #3 uncle Mikes pocket holster. I can get a nice grip for draw and the #3 stays put. Font pocket of my cargo shorts on non gym days. In the gym I only carry if I go with my wife in the evening when it's most crowded. Being retired I'm usually there around noon or early afternoon and have one pair of Coliseum gym shorts that hide it well with that holster. I'll go do my errands, groceries etc in those shorts after a workout and you can't tell its on me. These have the built in "under pants" and pockets that hang freely underneath the top shorts. The drawstring works well, even hanging my huge phone on the waistband with my pocket pal hidden, wallet on my weak side pocket. I need to find another pair of these athletic shorts.

I wear Hawaiian shirts and use Don Hume JIT holsters for my J frames and even my 3 inch S&W Model 13. When I have to wear a tucked in shirt a Blackhawk pocket holster works. If I'm doing something active I have an ambidextrous black leather belt pouch that I got a hundred years ago at a gun show that holds a J frame (or similar sized auto) upright. It has "rip tabs" to open it in a hurry and has a front zippered pocket that will hold cell phones, iPods, spare magazines, Speedstrips, or wallet/id.

Retired and live on a large lake. My normal dress up here is shorts, tucked in T shirt and sneakers. That will get you into everything up here during the summer, churches restaurants included!

My standard carry for this area is a bodyguard .380 in a DeSantis pocket holster. It would take a pat down or be wanded to spot.

FWIW I live in the people's republic of NY and so many people are paranoid about guns if your spotted carrying, a man with a gun call could easily be forthcoming. This precaution is not for the locals heck just about all year around people are hunter & gun people. It's for the "summer folk" that come up from down state, NJ and Conn Etc.

Glock 26 (or 19) is carried in either a JM Custom Kydex "George" holster, a Remora 6G-ART or #10, or an Eagle Industries fanny pack which I've owned since the 90's.

If I'm wearing pants or shorts with a belt the JMCK or Remora are perfect since I never wear my shirts tucked in.

If I'm wearing gym shorts or sweats I opt for the fanny pack. (I have one for each Glock with an appropriately sized inner holster.)

For summer, I carry my Model 60-15 in a Milt Sparks VMII. Extremely comfortable for all-day carry and the horsehide back seems to make the holster very sweat/water resistant. All of the metal parts against the body are protected but I still conduct a quick wipe-down daily with a Rem-Oil cloth.

Me Too; In Arizona

The only time I carry my LCP anymore is when I'm running. I have the clip that mounts on the side of the gun. Tucked Into my elastic shorts IWB. Stays put. Subject to a lot of sweat here in AZ so requires some maintenance keep up
I know what you mean by "here in Arizona". I've found two holsters (Requires a belt but not my gun belt) work for me. One is a Remora with full sweat shield and the N8 Pro Tactical with the clip and excellent sweat shield. I took a Dremel and cut out that round area that required "twisting" the pistol___but still covers trigger. (Shield)
Regular shorts with belt and a T-shirt as you know is almost formal in southern Arizona. (The winter residents wear this in our winter time!) Our cool winter time I dress differently__with a light covering garment. Then a Yaqui holster and my Sig P320.

I like that weapon. Been considering one. I EDC a Shield or
in our "winters/ sometimes actually cool" in our winters a light covering garment and then a Yaqui holster and my P320.
Your hot sticky weather___that's a good choice. Most Defensive situations will be at garlic breath distance. Hey! They worked across the card table in Tombstone, eh?
Nice image of it.
