I grabbed the camera quickly to take these. the top one was Super Bowl Sunday of last year. The next two were yesterday. My dad carved that face out of a chunk of my grandad's aprocot tree when he was about ten years old.

I think that's when my uncle said it was. He was older and they were kids when my dad tackled this. They both were great wood carvers. In later years my dad would carve chains out of pine using a scalple for the tight areas. Here's a bunch of heirlooms from him including a wood chain with a cage and ball in it. That's his last cigar, too.I have his tools but have never tried to use them..yet.
