SW Bodyguard 2.0 slide rod

Does anyone else's slide rod protrude like mine? I notice it because I use a fit holster which seems too tight against this slide rod.

That does not look normal.

I would be concerned and call S&W. I believe the end cap is most likely attached the end of the guide rod with threads. The end cap on the guide rod may be loose or not fitted right.

Mine is out a bit but there's no gap visible.

I'd remove the rod and ensure the spring is indexed correctly on the top. The guide rod seems to be finicky and won't always compress on reassembly. So you have to turn it. Sorry terrible description.
