I'm getting close to saying goodbye to my M&P 40c for a few months. This is my favorite CCW. The 40c has been my daily carry for the last 6 months. I have several holsters, but the heat here in the Phoenix area is just too brutal for me to carry the 40c. I usually go down to the bare essentials...Shorts and t-shirts.

In the warmer weather, the best I can do is go to my Ruger LCP, pocket carry...Quite comfortable, But definitely lacking what the 40c brings to the table.

Maybe it might be time for me to buy the "Shield". Either way, Im gonna carry my 40c as much as I can.

Carry my 442 all year every day. The only thing that changes is it moves from my right hip under a cover garment to my right front pocket. Two loaded Quickstrips ride in my left front pocket.
In the summer it's shorts and a tank top.

Just like Snubyfan above I carry my 442 daily in a pocket. Winter I use a speedloader in my jacket pocket and summer a speedstrip in the off pocket.

40c here also. Have a couple more months here in Michigan before I will have to put it away. I then will switch to pocket carrying my Bodyguard .380. Sure miss the 40c but still happy with the bg. Will look into a shield also when more come available. Wife carrying a 442 year round.

the only thing that changes with the weather on my carry is the loads I carry otherwise it's from jeans and tshirts to shorts and tshirts ;)

A 642 goes in my pocket daily, winter and summer. I have never felt under armed with a couple of speed-loaders in the off side pocket.

LCP was my summer carry, but with all the jams, I don't know I will ever carry it again. Ruger tech told 5 in 400 is actually good.

I don't switch for the seasons - my 4513TSW is along everywhere in an IWB. A pull-over knit shirt is all I need in the summer to cover.

The new alloy frame single action Sig P938 is a 9mm that is not much larger than the 380's. Mine is accurate, reliable, and comes with night sights. Check them out for summer carry.

J-frame or LCP 90% of the time... variety of holsters to suite the occasion... OWB, belly band or ankle carry. I'm not a huge fan of pocket carry, not sure why? Anyway, summer heat is a coming!

Carry something that starts with a 4

year round. Bug is 642, or 296.:D

To each his/her own.:o

I am too old to run, fight, so only one option left, and I want enough gun. I pray it will never be needed!

I switch from my P229 to my P229. Same OWB holster and everything!

I've never switched, don't see the need. Whether I'm in a t-shirt or wearing a winter coat.

Since people have less clothes on in the summer, you could argue you don't need as much gun.

Crossbreed Supertuck holster for me all year round. I had ordered mine in horsehide and it's held up well for several years now. It's a very comfortable IWB holster. I always wear an undershirt so it never comes up against my skin.

Colt 1911 off duty, either a compact or commander, OWB all year round. Even if I'm wearing shorts and a tshirt in the summer I throw a lightweight cover garment on, like a subdued "hawaiian" style shirt, to keep things concealed.
The exception is a jframe in an ankle holster when working in scrubs in the hospital.

I carry the same gun every day........... boring yes, but I NEVER have to remember which gun I have and how it handles if the SHTF. It's my trusted M60-7 with the BB 158 gr. +P LSWCHP-GC.

I carry it either in a DeSantis Nemesis Pocket Holster (70% of the time) or a Kramer Horsehide Belt Scabbard (30%).

I know........... I am boring. But when I am in the woods........ I will go to my 3" M65 which is basically the same gun in a K Frame with Magnum BB's (180 gr.). That's about it for me as far as variation goes.
