Just picked up the Tactical Link enhanced battery assist lever. It is advertised as sitting more center of triggerwell then the Magpul, and it does but definately still requires some modification. You wont have to mod your rifle at all but plan on a little time with a Dremel and a small file to get it to operate as advertised. It is well built and even after modification theres still plenty of meat on the bone or metal left but it will take you some time. Over all very pleased with the out come.Works as advertised.

Does your bolt lock to the rear on the last round? A lot of feedback is that batter assist devices are too heavy for the 15-22 mag spring for the follower to push up on bolt enough to engage the catch and hold it there for a mag change.

I used a Magpul B.A.D. and just made two bends and it works perfectly. The bolt locks after the mag is empty, it clears my magazine discharge perfectly fine. I bought the Magpul one from Midway for $28.

I just installed my tactical link battery assist lever last night and did not have to modify it at all. Haven't shot with it yet. Hope to do so soon.

quite late to this thread.....

I've had a Tactical Link assist lever on my AR for over a year now and have had no problems at all with it. My AR is a "Core15" not a S&W so don't know if that makes the difference. As far as the bolt operation.... locks back every time on an empty mag, and no issues with bolt release or going into chamber.

At the time I bought it on sale it was slightly cheaper than the Magpul version.

Am very happy with it after close to a thousand rounds through the AR. Very happy to have it on the rifle.
