Taking Off the Badge

Congratulations on the start of a new job...living your life of leisure! Thanks for your years of service. Glad you made it through to the reward.

TIPS & FREE ADVICE

BUT FIRST THANKS FOR YOUR SERVICE. Put away your watch, delve into that honeydo list & all the things you've wanted to do if you weren't working. Being a member here I imagine shooting is enjoyable for you, join a gun club, preferably close by that you can go to often, build an inside the house mancave where you can reload & tinker in comfort. Before long the batteries in the watches will be dead & several pages on the calendar will need flipping. You may never want to wear blue again, that's how I feel about white. The truest and most common thing I agree with is the "how did I ever have time to work".

One of the really nice things you'll appreciate in retirement is that when it's snowy or icy, or just rainy and cold, you can stay home if you choose (a very nice thing where you live), and offer silent thanks you're not a street cop out in the weather.

Enjoy the heck out of your retirement.

You are soooo lucky and I am soooo jealous!

Retirement isn't coming fast enough for me.

If I knew then what I know now, I would never have done law enforcement. To say it has been a poor career choice would be an understatement.

Enjoy your well earned retirement . I am envious of your long career.I did not go full time in law enforcement until I retired from other job.But it was a job and law enforcement is a career I love.

You made it, Bro. Now, it's your turn. Takes a while to get out of the routine, but look at it as 7 days off in a row, every week. John

Congratulations and thank you for what you've done. Glad you made it through alive. Now it's Miller Time, Sir....
