Tale of a 581 restoration/customization

Thanks folks for your thoughts and comments!

As for the cost, I haven't a clue. I just don't usually remember stuff like that. Not cheap, not terribly outrageous either. Whatever it was, I was happy to pay it! :)

You do get what you pay for. I've been gunsmithing for about 50 years now and I like to think I do pretty good work. I have a number of clients that never ask what something will cost or how long it will take. I occasionally get a new guy that wants me to do less then my reputation will allow me to do. It's usually to save money. I graciously refuse to do that and tell them I'm far too busy to take on their job. From what I can see, Mark is meticulous. It's easy top tell when someone relies on a buffing wheel to finish a gun vs hand polishing. A final color is okay on a wheel but many a gun is ruined by trying to "buff" out imperfections or nicks and dings. You have a beautiful revolver Brother. Be as proud of it as the guy that did the work.

Ladder, Bam-Bam, doublesharp, and all.... many thanks for the welcome back. This is a great forum full of wonderful enthusiasts. I'm so happy to be a part of the "fraternity". My best wishes to you all!

Welcome back DHart, I missed your amazing firearms photos. I don't post on the forum very much, but I read it daily!
