I just bought a Tasco Accudot scope model ACD 2 ST at an estate sale. I spent the better part of an hour on the phone with the company that bought Tasco out to no avail since they have virtually no records. I am trying to find out the correct battery for this scope. Appreciate any help!

Mine use the CR2032 in both my Tasco (and dad's) and my Sightron, they look like an over sized nickel. Many times they are marked inside or outside on the cap. Also the numbers listed may be for a specific brand, but cross referencing brings you back to the CR 2032.

They used to run me around $1.50 each, but now I buy a blister pack of 9 for a $1 I change them out often. I also save them in a jar for recycling and just drop them off at Batteries Plus.

It's definitely the 2032, I just went down and checked mine. Had this one for over 15 years, and still great. Recently retired it for a Burris Fastfire III, just a little lighter, and can mount closer to the bore.

I have a Tasco red dot which uses a 2032 battery also. They have a long life (years) if you turn it off after every use. Not to say that every Tasco red dot sight uses the same battery size, as I don't know about that.
