Taxes and Wedding Anniversary

Forty-two years ago my best friend and I tied the knot. We did it on tax day as we both wanted a string on our fingers to prevent us from forgetting our anniversary.

I married this girl because she was a great kisser, made big hamburgers, gave great back rubs, and went everywhere with me trying new things. She gave me lots of rope as I did her and nothing that I mentioned above has changed over the years. My eyesight is no longer 20/20, but she still looks as good to me as she did on our wedding day. She wears glasses also, must be for a reason.

I need to get the flowers and card today and take her to dinner tonight and then we are coming home for the back rub.

Thank you to all for the congratulations, I took her forty-two roses this afternoon and left them on her desk while she was at lunch. I think this will be a bright spot in her afternoon.

When I first read it, I could not help but think of the sore thumb headache cure......you know, the one where you smack your thumb with a hammer when you have a BAD headache. It does nothing to cure the headache, but it does take your mind off it for a while.....
