Taylor Swift

Find it hard to understand the demographic... 99% not men because she isn't hot or sexy to any men that I know.

99% tweens? So the teenage girl demographic gets mom or dad onboard with $2k+ tickets?

Been very lucky over the years to see many, many concerts at under $50 with only a couple being around $100.

Juice ain't worth the squeeze...

Saw Don Ho in Hawaii for $5. Neil Diamond in SF for $10. Elvis in Vegas for $25. Sinatra in Vegas for $30 including drinks. I guess this is why TS is predicted to be the first Country/Pop artist billionaire.

You're kidding, right?

I think it would be a rare man who did not find her hot or sexy. Whether the music appeals or not, that's more an individual, or age group (teenage girls) thing, but the hot and sexy visual appeal is, I bet, pretty universal to the male demographic still breathing.

I heard the people across the street playing an album of hers one day.

I went running out the front door thinking either a fire engine was out front or that someone had hit an animal with their car.

CMA's singers sound like they are being tortured on the rack. Taylor Swift IMHO is one in that category.

Couldn't give me tickets to any of 'em.

I got this from Forbes.

"Some 45% of avid fans are millennials, people between the ages of 27 and 42, while 23% are baby boomers, 21% are Gen Xers and just 11% are members of Gen Z—those 26 and under."

Whoa! I find that surprising, but, hey! More power to her!

The Smoking Section is the highest paid session band in Nashville. The leader, and theory scholar, Tim Akers asked Taylor if he could do a more intricate arrangement of Shake It Off which would accentuate the playing skills of each of the members.

She gave her blessing and asked that she hear the final mix for her approval of release.

She gave it her full seal of approval upon completion.

I am not buying that. Every single person I have seen at her concerts on line are young teen girls crying their eyes out some unable to speak. I don't get it because I still can't name you one song she sings. Yes I am a 67 year old male and I like lots of songs her competition sings.

I've never been to one of her shows. Out of all her songs I like maybe 4. Pulled these audience shots off the net.

OK, so a lack of common sense isn't a generational phenomenon. Is anyone surprised?
People with no common sense raise kids with no common sense.

SURPRISE!

I like to see performers acting with class toward those supporting them on stage. Years ago, I went to an Oak Ridge Boys concert at the Great Frederick (MD) Fair. At the end of the show, naturally the Oak Ridge Boys took their curtain calls. Then the Oak Ridge Boys stepped back and each of them grabbed one of the band members and brought the band members to the front of the stage to take their own bows. I thought with that the Oak Ridge Boys really showed themselves to be a class act.

Cough, gasp, wheeze.....

Well, good for her if she can pull it off. I recall seeing some pretty good acts - Elton, Dylan, Seger, Rush, Daniels, Beck, B.B., et al - back in the day for around $10. Adjusted for inflation that'd be all the way up to about $40 today. Far cry from upwards of $2k a pop.

2K!!!! I don't think I'd spend that much to see a Beatles reunion, with all four members!
