Tennessee gun laws

Hello. My family is pushing for us to relocate to Tennessee, they are looking at properties and pushing rather hard.

After doing some fast research, we have found that the state has some fashion of castle law o the books. In following this forum, I have learned that some states have legislation protecting holders of a CCW from lawsuits by next of kin of persons killed in the commission of a crime. Does Tennessee have a law such as this?

Tennessee does have Castle Doctrine/Stand your ground laws for anywhere you have a legal right to be. I've tried to look up the law as written, but lawyers hijack every page. You are probably better than I am on this computer stuff. I will say that Tennessee is one of the best firearm friendly states. Most government buildings and schools are posted no firearms, but Tennessee did pass a law that any private property or business that posts signs -No firearms- can be held legally responsible for your safety. Figure they just don't want any of my money, OK with me. No problems traveling almost anywhere in the mid south and southeast armed. In fact, almost all states honor our carry permits. Got to go, BOTH my fingers are getting tired. Big Welcome if you find a place and decide to move.

TN

TN is a great state to live in. Some of the best laws to protect its citizens.

My wife and I moved here from CA over 10 years ago and really like it. We have not regretted that move at all.

I was curious so went to handgun law; Pretty good. Training requirement and no guns sign has force of law only things I saw that were negatives. They have lifetime licenses which is a plus. Certainly there are far worse; I wouldn't let gun laws stop me. I'd love the see Constitutional Carry in all States but that is not going to happen.

I lived in Tennessee for eight years. As stated above, it is a firearms-friendly state. What is more, the people are great and it is a beautiful place. I only left so I could come look after my folks when I retired. Highly recommended...
