Terrifying 4th/2nd Amendment Story!

I posted some pro-gun material on facebook. Somebody reported me and said I was misrepresenting myself. Facebook booted me off and I can't get back on. Just as well, people post a lot of mindless drivel on there.

I post pro-gun stuff on fb all the time. NRA has a big presence on fb. I usually "share" their ILA stuff to my page. I post pictures of me and my family members shooting regularly. Many of my fb "friends" also post that stuff. My local pharmacist has daughters who are often posting pictures of the guns and bows their father has bought, and it isn't unusual to see photos of results of hunts, such as shots of deer, turkeys, and game birds they kill. Colt, Kimber, Ruger, and Lipsey's all have good fb pages.

This is an outrage, and the direction the police and Gov. are moving in.

Be prepared.

That stinks but it sounds typical for today.
For posts like this we need a 'Don't Like' button more than a 'Like'.

I read that story earlier and I'm sure the ACLU will be all over this for the obvious violations of the entire families civil rights. Yeah, right!

Re: House gets raided after picture of kid with M&P 15-22

Gov. Christie should look into the behavior of government employees trying to VIOLATE Citizens Rights in the state of New Jersey.

I have accompanied juvenile services on hundreds of complaints over my career. In my state anyone can file a complaint with that department and, by law, the complainant remains anonymous. That's right, someone from that agency will knock on your door and you will not know the source of the complaint. And by law, in most states, juvenile services are required to investigate. Failure to do so can result in termination. They are, however, required to show ID. Before Newtown anyone viewing the pic of this young man holding a gun wouldn't have given it a second thought. Not today. And I'd like to have been riding with the LEOs after they cleared that call and discussed their opinion of the complaint. Probably something along the lines of "what the **** were we doing there"?

Welcome to the real world. Anyone can place a phone call. Anyone can phone DFACS or the equivalent state agency and create a great deal of trouble for any one at all. And it is all perfectly legal. There are no repercussions on the individual who makes the report, regardless of if it is or is not true.

When kids can get sent home from school or placed in detention for a pop tart nibbled into a gun shape, or for making a finger pistol, what do you expect to happen when you take a picture of your son, of tender age, holding an actual "assault weapon"? Especially in NJ, NY or several other peoples republics. Children must be indoctrinated to be pacifists. PC forbids boys to be normal boys.

Would they have caused such a stink if the rifle was a Ruger 10/22? Uninformed government officials (aka idiots) lack the general knowledge of firearms and classify any rifle with black plastic as a "military assault weapon". They fail to realize the cosmetic feature does not make the weapon any more lethal -- same functionality / shoots the same....

Well that's my thought anyway... a Ruger 10/22 isn't a scary "assault weapon" its just a .22 semi-automatic... fires the same bullets at the same rate, and is looks aside basically the same gun. The whole thing is moronic.

Of course... from the Fox Article, where the person from NJ DYFS states that you can't prosecute false allegations called into DYFS... doesn't that seem... off somehow? What is there to prevent you from harassing someone by constantly calling in false allegations? What is there to prevent you from calling in false allegations in such quantity that actual cases can't be dealt with? Heck, what keeps you from getting their list of employees and calling in false allegations of every one of them and the entirety of the NJ state government?

(In Hank Hill's voice) "That state just ain't right."

Well, considering the number of "Political Correction Busybodies" out there, I guess I'm not too surprised that this has happened.

Mr. Moore did exactly the right thing, and this should be a lesson for us all.

I'm just afraid that this example may mean that we all need to have a local Second Amendment savvy lawyer on our speed-dial lists...

"Political correctness is tyranny with manners"

Mr. Heston was right, and we need to be on guard against these sorts of PCBs.

As hard as it may be, we each have to fight the battle and stand up for what is right!

This father should go to the Mayor, the newspapers and do whatever he can to expose the stupidity of someone calling and the police then conducting a raid.

Where was the police officers' common sense? Why didn't they look at that picture and say, 'We don't see a problem - Nice gun that kid has!'
