Had a rookie that kept poking at me about carrying a revolver, kept saying that Glock was the ultimate handgun and that I really should update my choice of duty weapon. At the time I was carrying a 5 inch Model 29 on duty. Went to a qualification range with him. The RO would always let me shoot in Station 1 so I didn't have to dodge brass from the autoloaders. I asked the RO to put the rookie in Station 2, and he agreed with a grin on his face. I told the rookie that if he outshot me on any stage of the qualification table, I'd go buy a Glock and carry it. The first stage was double tap at 3 feet. When I touched off the first two rounds, the rookie visibly jumped and he completely missed his target. The RO said that you could see him flinch at every stage when I would shoot. Still don't own a Glock...
