Here’s another fairly early RM, REG 108, shipped on June 6, 1935…..

Great thread! My first '357' was a Model 13 four-inch, a duty gun I carried for years; sadly, it was destroyed along with two Registered Magnums in a 2020 wildfire which burned hundreds of homes here, including ours. Notwithstanding, I still love the cartridge; currently we have a Model 1950 'pre-27' six-inch, a 586 four-inch, a 686 three-inch, two Model 19s, a four-inch and a 2 1/2 inch, as well as a Model 66 four-inch, and a Ruger single action to round out the mess! Interestingly, of them all, the 586 has the best trigger and is the most accurate, my 'go-to' gun when I can get it away from my wife.... Mike

$60.00 in 1935=$1,410.88 in today's dollars. A month's pay for many people.

A SS retro Reg Mag would really be as simple as using the 629 Mountain gun barrel profile and simply boring the barrel and cylinder for .357 and checkering the top straps.
If they want to go the extra mile fit them with pre war style Magnas and toss a stainless copy of the pre war grip adapter in the box with a spare set of service grips to go with them, heck might as well toss a SS copy of the humpback hammer in there as well and a registration certificate and ship it in a glass top velvet lined wood presentation case....if your gonna dream then dream big!
