The 4566TSWSSV project

Now you don't really think I'd have sacrificed a 4513TSW for this project do you? Nah! this began with the 4566TSW and several 4513 parts sets plus a couple more slides I've been able to scrounge up. I have the parts to make another one of these except for the de-cock only lever. Even have a 4513TSW slide that's factory machined for de-cock only and with the lasered warning markings. But my other 4566TSW is a factory rail free version and I'm not going to mess with it beyond what I've already done to fix/clean it up.

No, I think next on the S&W agenda will be getting the PC4506 ship shape.

In the non S&W department I'm waiting on my re-profiled barrel to get back from ADCO along with some other bits from various vendors to complete my 308 AR build:D

Cheers
Bill

This thread brought me to this forum. Great project, thanks for sharing. I have a 5926 I plan working over in the near future.

I would imagine Bill has a massive file of PM's and E-mail requests in the queue.....:) I have a detailed description of my Dream pistol but won't ask Bill to do it.....I am not worthy. Zebulon

Zebulon, maybe one of these days a few of us can make a pilgrimage to Bill's workbench, holy shrine that is is. :D

A bit of thread necromancing, but you can blame Timn8er! :D

Very nice work as always and thank you for taking us along for the ride! :)

BMCM, as an aspiring machinist I'm amazed at the quality of work you do and hope to achieve the level of skill you have.

One of the best things about these build threads is you never get tired of seeing another one. Every one is fascinating as you guys let us see the project unfold literally thru your eyes. And 4566TSWSSV has been one of the most entertaining and informative I've seen. Not just skill but some damn fine narration! Here's a toast to great guns, great skill and great people!

Thanks to you, I just found this amazing thread. :)

Bill (BMCM) is nothing short of brilliant!!! :D

Truly a magician. I had forgot all about this post. Perhaps one of the sweetest custom 3rd gennies I've ever seen.

Now I'm looking for the post where he works on the PC 4506.
