The Bren Ten Curse

The last project was a greater disappointment than either Vltor or Warners... :(

What is the status of Palmer's project?

I have heard he is in trouble with the law, what is that about?

I stated above earlier that he is a scam artist who had been indicted for fraud in relation to his Bren Ten resurrection scam but I will provide more info here. He was indicted for defrauding people to the approximate amount of $64,000 after being investigated by the FBI for almost a year or so. He also scammed people with a fraudulent Miami Vice 40th anniversary event and he scammed people out of Sig Challenge Coins. He ran a fraudulent webforum around 2019-2020 known as www.thevintage1911.com that took a ton of people for a gun raffle he never delivered on ,and made a member of the forum lie and said he received the weapon. He also had a Patreon for some detective fiction he probably never delivered on and has since been removed from.their website, though the link is still on his Instagram @thevintage1911. He also has a sketchy website where he allegedly sells "timeworn watches." Stuart Palmer is a snake and should avoided at all costs and shunned by everyone. He ****** over investors and Chuck Warner from.the previous project and countless. others.

Thanks for the information.

I had talked to Palmer early on in his venture and his business plan made no sense and I stayed away fortunately.

No problem. I was skeptical and thought he was kind of full of ****, but I was willing to risk a little bit of money on the off chance he actually managed to get a Bren Ten made, only because he was also an investor when Chuck Warner attempted it a few years prior. I found out on my own he was full of **** after contacting a vendor he allegedly contracted; they told me he hadn't ordered anything and the FBI called asking about him.

Some guys invested $10k, and that is wild to me. I never trusted him that much, and I was skeptical even of Warner's attempt, only because I know building a gun is pretty involved and he was mostly a gunsmith contracting out work, IIRC.

Hopefully a company like Tanfoglio or SAR will pull through for us someday if Kincel never does. The quality of SAR stuff is impressive as are the reviews.

Re: Miami Vice and the unavailable magazine issue, I recall back when buyers were frustrated about the dearth of mags, reading that in at least one episode of Vice, Sonny did a tactical reload, dumping his empty mag and moving on. Local Bren Ten owners apparently recognized the location and descended on the scene posthaste in a futile search for the "discarded" magazine. As unlikely as it sounds, I guess desperation can cause all kinds of weird behavior.

I've heard of this legend before, it was years and years ago when I heard it. Have always been fascinated by this tale and just wish that it's true. :D

I would think Tanfoglio could easily produce a twin of the BT if that is what the market wants as they sort of already have one. But they may not see that as what the market wants.

I did not see the 2006 movie version of Miami Vice. But I checked and found a great many different guns appeared in supporting roles. None of them was anything like a BT.

A guy I am friends with has a decent following on Instagram and follows a lot of other firearm accounts who also follow him. When he gets back from vacation, I am going to suggest we get to work on doing market research on our own.

I've wasted 16 years of my life waiting since the VLTOR announcement in 2008. I want something to happen.

Sadly, it seems a very large contingent of gun owners have zero. nterest in collecting, and would rather own 47 different Glocks.

I know your pain my friend. I've been looking for YEARS but no way I can afford one. I saw one on Gunbroker (perfect match to Sonny's) and I think it was going for 12k or some crazy number.

In the past I had a desire to be one of "The Guys" so I purchased two 10mm pistols (Glock 20 and Glock 29). Shot both and couldn't bring myself to replace my .45s. For what I wanted in a .45 I didn't consider the 10mm would replace.

Regarding the magazines, Patton was quoted as saying the semiauto requires 2 parts while a revolver needs only ammunition.

It depends upon where you are located. The 10mm, in full power form, not a reduced power or FBI load, is a great pistol caliber for rural areas where one might encounter wild boar or bears. For more urban areas where the dangerous animals walk on two legs, the 9mm, 40 S&W, and 45 ACP are excellent semi-auto calibers.
