I thank you for your post as we all will be in your position one day, None of us will outlive our appointed time. As a friend and a pastor I wish I could be by your side holding your hand and sharing the love of God for you. He created you and now is calling you to His side. If you are a Christian and know Jesus as your trusted savior you are promised a very wonderful future when you depart our company. I wish the best for you, that your pain will be minimal and the company of your loved ones be a great comfort to you. I thank your your courage and love for us to share this time of your life. You are a brave and honest man. I pray that the first thing you see after closing your eyes is God with outstretched arms welcoming you home for eternity.

Go with God my friend, you have encouraged me very much.

I totally suck at coming up with things to say at times like these. You will be missed.

When I was doing Oxy for my throat cancer treatment my doctor didn't seem too concerned about it being habit forming either.

Statistically, I may not be far behind, my friend.

loknload, I am so sorry to hear that soon the Good Lord will be depriving your family and us of your existence on this earth. The world be a little poorer when you move on to your next adventure when the Good lord brings you home. M'am, I'm so sorry for your unimaginable loss. I just came across this thread today, and read all the way through it, only to find your post at the end.

I "liked" it, as I "liked" his posts as well, not for the sad news they contained, but as an acknowledgement of what a courageous, humble, and humorous guy your husband was as he faced the end of his life here. I wish I could have posted in time to let him know how much I admired his forthrightness about all of this, and to tell him that he will be both missed greatly and remembered fondly here on this Forum that he contributed to for so long and so well.

You and your family have my greatest sympathy, and I wish for you God's peace as you continue forward.
