I said stainless... but that's because I like how it looks.. not because it is easy to maintain.

Hey... you forgot the best two... scandium and PVD coated!

I went with stainless for the sole reason of easy maintenance. I love the looks of a nice blued gun, but give me stainless all day if I've got to keep it clean or carry it.

I voted blue. It`s obvious from a practable standpoint stainless is the best. I never had a gun rust on me anyway as I always just wipe them down and also live in a arid climate.
One other thing: Now to anybody 50 or under this is going to sound dumb. Us guys that are 70ish well remember when stainless came out and got popular. When we seen police etc packing them some of us figured them for newbys as we had blue forever! Probley in the early days of it some of us felt the same as the way some of you do about plastic glocks etc and the "newbys" that carry them!
I have one stainless and like it. I dont think I will ever like a plastic gun. I might someday own one if I trip over it or get one as a present. (that aint gonna happen)!

all blue here.

oh i may be a little extreme with this. if we are looking for an analogy for steel vs plastic guns how about this? a classic mustang compared to a "smart (stupid) car". you don't have to be over 50 to know that's just plain dumb. .......... and if anyone drives one I do hope I offended you.

You didn't give us: "Dings and scratches of use not abuse".

All my guns are shooters and most of them have some sort of cosmetic "blemishes" that have been earned. I look at it as "badges of honor". I do take care of them, and with use comes carry wear etc...
