"Sacred Ground" staring Tim McIntyre
Godfather & Godfather II will probably be classics. Godfather is a great movie & usually makes any "best movies" list.
The Al Pacino Scarface is terrible. It did not age well and Al makes the worst Cuban ever. It's nearly impossible for me to sit through it.
Scarface gained notoriety when it was released in the 80s over glorifying the drug trade and the use of violence and language. Once notorious, it gained a cult following amongst wannabe tough guys and gangstas, giving it even more credibility. It was quotable, simple and very violent. Just what the masses wanted. Watch into today and it's just laughably bad, like so many other 80s movies.
Whoever is feeding you this trash as great movies needs to stop.
ETA: Al Pacino is one of the most overrated actors out there. His acting in Heat nearly ruins that movie as well.
scarface was cool when i was a teen, but it wasnt that good.
i agree that the godfather was as boring as anything ive seen, but you really should watch casablanca ,you wont regret it.
casablanca has a good story and great dialogue. itll cost you 2 hours of your life to find out if im lyin'.![]()
Amen! Scent of a Woman set new levels of the depths of suckiness. Vomit. Even Pacino admits he hasn't made good movie since Dog Day Afternoon. Thank goodness for DeNiro and Kilmer in Heat.ETA: Al Pacino is one of the most overrated actors out there. His acting in Heat nearly ruins that movie as well.
I liked "Godfather" a lot. I loved "Napolean Dynamite".
Yep;
that is one of my favorites also...................
"Ever skin Grizz pilgrim" ?
When Casablanca was filmed we were deep into WW2. The studio never thought the movie would be so popular. The setting was in No. Africa which we had just invaded. Bogart was a screen idol & Bacall was just coming along. They made a great team. The music "As time goes by" became a hit also.I remember it because my folks took me to the movies one Saturday matinee about 1942 or '43.
