The K-22 collection is almost complete

Just bought this gun, TT, TH, TS, which now gives me K-22's in all three barrel lengths in both .22LR and .22WMR.

The only remaining K-frame I doon't own is a Pre/Model 45. It may take a while to find a resonably priced one to complete the collection.

Wait, I didn't see the prewar Outdoorsman, or the Prewar Masterpiece. The next thing you know, you'll be scoping out the early postwar guns, those with the large extractor knobs. And of course the 4" early Combat Masterpieces. Then it'll be on to the 4 screw guns, and of course the -1, -2, -3, -4, -5, -6, -7 and on and on. Oh, don't forget the long barrel Model 18s. Hard to find, but they're out there.

K22 collecting is dangerous. If you're still with us, we can go into variants we've all been seeking. Like a factory nickel prewar gun, or just a factor nickel K22. Those are out and about, just pricey. Even a few variants in the prewar like HBH and ones with grip adaptors and magna's. Hope you don't mind raiding the bank account. Its expensive.

You all need a Gold call bead Outdoorsman. First. 500 in 1931 were gold, Factory then switched to stainless to save costs. I have. three of thes beautifull revolvers. Oh and a few other models!

First collecting never ends its like a never ending story, it goes till we die.
We tend to drift away from it at times with other interests, but the spark does turn into a flame and the burning desire has started all over again.
Once your bitten with the collecting bug it's over. I don't care if you have two or five your still collecting wether it's to shoot and enjoy or bragging rights. Collections are never complete. There's always that one gun you don't have around that next corner table at a gun show.

I got into the surplus military guns and wanted to collect mausers. Then I was told there are over 1,000++ different mausers. I then deceided the few different mausers I had was enough for now.

... and a 617 and a 617-1...Wait there was an Ashland 617 in 2 different barrel lengths as well.....Then maybe the 4 and 5 screw pre 18's.... Heck might as well get all the Model 18 revisions to dash 4...Maybe one in nickel,

Since we are working on revisions now might as well get a 4" 17-6 without the underlug and one in 6" ..Actually there is an 8,3/8 version without underlug too...Do Model 48's or Model 53's count as K-22's ?

Of course will any K-22 collection ever be complete without that one SS Model 18 marked as a Model 65....Or what about the snub Pre Model 45 and a 6" ...then there is all the J frame 22 variations...

I know where there's a 48, but it's a bit outta my range right now.

As far as the question about Jets, yes they count, especially if they're twin cylinder guns. But be very careful, its a side branch of the collection that gains a life of its own.

And where are the boxes? Wait until you start needing a prewar Masterpiece box. Yes, they're out and about. I even found one about 10 years ago. Keep looking. And carry more cash with you.

I don't think it will ever end. Heck, I'd be more than tickled with "model" numbered versions. Not to mention pre-model numbered, including pre-war stuff. So many guns, so little time.
