Just curious - are you looking at putting a Timney or Gissele trigger on your M&P15? If so, I'd be interested in hearing how that goes. I know it's pretty straightforward process from what I've been told, but would like to hear how it went and what the considerations are from someone who's actually done it.

I'm pretty sure only some of the Colt's use a large pin. Most other AR's are small unless I'm mistaken.
I put Geisseles in both my M&P 15 TS and my dad's Sig M400 - very easy but can be a bit time consuming to get those darn pins to line up. Takes a bit of repositioning but it's nothing someone with even basic mechanical skills couldn't do.

Yeah, I plan on installing a timney. Here's a link to the install that looks pretty good. If I did it right anyway.

Put a Geissele SSA in mine. Install was a snap. Could not be happier with it.

Several years ago, right after buying my M&P15, I had Bill Springfield rework my trigger. I've put thousands of rounds down range and numerous training courses. Works great and the price is very reasonable.
If Bill Springfield was local, I'd look into that, but in between shipping, FFL transfer fees to get my own firearm back, and Bills admittedly reasonable rates, I'm pretty close to the price of a Timney anyway. And I can do that job myself, at home, in about 5 minutes.
I'm pretty sure all you have to send him is the trigger pack, not the entire firearm or even complete lower.
