Karen Carpenter had a beautiful voice. This is a song that often goes through my head on my mountain hikes.
It's a good tune to keep pace to.
Every time you folks post one of these music threads, you make me think I am way too old (I'm not sure for what).
I went through the three pages here, and realized:
1. I recognized almost no performer except the old country stars, the Carpenters and, of course, Alison Krauss.
2. Never heard of Susan Tedeschi but I do recall Tom Petty died a couple of weeks ago.
Then realized I have never, to the best of my recollection, heard a single song he recorded.
3. Realized that if the songs or performer became widely known after I came back from the Service, I probably never listened to them.
4. I'm not sure why, just never had the interest. I listened to a couple of new songs on the Lounge this morning, really didn't like them.
5. I listen to old Country, Western Swing, old Rock, some Blue Grass (did I mention Alison?) and Southern Gospel.
I think this must put me out of the mainstream of this Forum. I guess I'll survive, but ....
