The NFL...Stop the bus I wanna get off.

One improvement in the officiating I have seen is the refs refraining from blowing the whistle until the action is clearly over. I remember a game where my team was on defense and swatted the ball out of the QB's hands when he tried to leap over the line. One of the DBs for my team recovered the ball on the bounce and had a clear field ahead of him but the ref blew a quick whistle. My team got the fumble recovery but were deprived of the chance for a probable touchdown because of that quick whistle while everything was actually still in play. My team got hosed on that call and lost any chance for getting into the post season.

One of the things that has always interested me on the forum is the number of posters that come out of the woodworks to express their disdain for the NFL, how they don't follow it anymore, could care less what happens, etc. Yet they take the time to post how they don't care about the NFL, they have stopped watching, etc.

Never made much sense to me, but whoever said our behavior should make sense? And who am I to judge anyway?

...The 2024 Super Bowl tickets are on sale now, and the longer you leave them, the more expensive they'll get. At the time of writing, the cheapest price is at StubHub, where prices start at $6,751 each when buying a pair. Prices climb to over $7,000 when opting for just a single ticket. And it won't surprise you to hear that these are way up in the nosebleeds....

How to Buy Super Bowl Tickets for Chiefs Vs 49ers 2024: Prices and Travel Info.

Think I'll watch on TV. Was surprised to see earlier today that the odds, as of then, favored the 49ers by two. While I want the 49ers to win, if I were betting, I'd put my money on the Chiefs...

I fell away from any interest in the NFL long ago. It's not a contest, it's a production. The winner of next years super bowl is already determined.
This year, it's whored itself out as a promotional platform for Taylor Swift.
Even before the unholy union with Kelce, a good many things somehow became all about Swift. I find it puzzling as I've never seen anything quite like this. There's celebrity promotion, sure, but this bimbo seems to be getting injected into everything.

It's a discussion forum . You don't have to like something to express an opinion of it .

I stop at High School Football. NFL is not interesting to me, even though they do rain dances after every score, and I need the rain. So, come super bowl, I'll wait until all the pre-game silliness is over with and watch a few plays toward the end. Cleaning out the hen house is a higher priority.

I am not a sportsball fan... will watch the stuper bowel for commercials and maybe halftime... don't care who plays or wins... never have... if it uses gunpowder or gasoline I might be interested... but not a Napcar fan either... sports car & open wheel please and thank you...

I too got off the bus when Kaepernick started taking a knee. Haven't watched a game since. Don't miss it.

The last Buffalo Bills player to get a good call was O.J. Simpson!........
Sorry, that joke is about 2 weeks too late, but still cracks me up.

Years ago my wife gave me a ticket to see the Saints play a home game.

I was wise enough to bring a pair of binoculars or I wouldn't have been able to make out anything, sitting so far up in nose bleed.

What amazed me was all of the delay. Players just standing around on the field in the middle of a series of downs. The gracious person sitting next to me was a season ticket holder who was very much aware that I was just renting the seat for this one game. He advised that this delay was due to all of the commercials.....ah, this is what it looks like in the stadium.

The entire purpose of the NFL has become getting people to give money to FanDuel and Draft Kings. It is just another betting venue like Jai alai.
