the science of stupid

My 7th grade science teacher was married to my 8th grade math teacher. When studying the speed of sound, we had countless math problems dealing with time and distance. He (the science teacher) got really mad at the people making basic math mistakes, and screamed at the class one day, that we needed to move on because he really hated math! By the time I graduated High School, they'd been divorced a few years! It sounded pretty stupid for them to get married in the first place!

I have no doubt there is a science to stupidity, to the act of being stupid.

Matter of fact, I know two or three people right now who should get the Nobel Prize for it.

There really isn't a science of stupid but there sure are many taking up a career in acting stupid.
There are tests for a person's IQ but I have yet to see a test for their common sense. I have known people of high IQ that their showing of common sense showed me they were dumb as a rock. LOL They even will argue their point of stupidity using no common sense.

Ya know.. Even smart people do stupid things..even me. I messed around with a gal or two that had SO much fun that the PO-leece would occasionally show up. One kinda got me in trouble one night. She really did draw the police officers to the party we were at. When they asked who had brought this gal... I did fess up. When they asked if I would take her home...I just asked the cop quietly if I really had to. He laughed at me pretty good. Got smarter that fast. Remember the song Last Date? Unfortunately that was not the last stupid thing I ever did!

I was married three times. Didn't get it right till the third time. Guess I would qualify as an educated idiot, if I hadn't been smart enough to ask the last one.

I still have fairly decent mental machinery for my age; but when I was somewhat younger, after searching for two days I once found a missing insurance policy in my refrigerator.

Maybe it's time to enter the Darwin Sweepstakes.

Some people are born with serious limitations. Those people I truly feel sorry for.

But, there is a segment of the population that simply refused to use the brains they have. Perfectly good brains and absolutely no inclination to do anything with them at all. Mentally lazy, just as some are physically lazy. Worse when both.
