Thank you...I've wanted a set of Ivory targets for a while. Right place, right time for these to join my collection. Those are fantastic. Definitely drool worthy!!
4" 27-2's were in production from 1979 to 1982....On this forum, quite possibly? A big "Thank You" to all of you for sharing both pictures and information. One week ago I held a 4 in. 27-2, circa 1967 to 1972 in my hand. It was in good to very good condition. I have been obsessing about it ever since. I should have bought it, but I prefer permission to forgiveness and I am almost there. I have today off, many plans, but a visit to the LGS is on the agenda. If it is still there I win, if it has sold I win.
As you know....condition is everything. There were more nickel then blued 4" 27-2's...but they both bring about the same money.Thank You Leatherhead23! I know nothing about 27's, except that I love my S&W 25, which I bought in the late '70s or early '80s and the 27 I'm interested in is $895.00. Any thoughts or opinions with essentially no details?
If it is still there I win, if it has sold I win.
I hope you win on the "it is still there" side. The model 27, to me, is the nicest looking gun in the S&W line.
