The Ultimate Model 27 Thread!

My M27-2. I think the ebony grips gives it a tuxedo effect.

To me, that is just stunningly beautiful! I really enjoyed your article on it in the SWCA Journal.

Hello Peter
I appreciate your kind words. I had Ford's Custom Gun refinishing in Crystal River Florida do the Broken Grip frame repair and then they Placed their Master Bluing finish on it. This Gun was Prepared for it's bluing finish all by hand as to Not round any corner's or dish out and side plate screw holes as we often see when over polishing with a Machine is done. They are True Craftsman and Treat each gun as if it were their own. My wife and I Visited their facility a couple of years ago to meet them and thank them for such a nice restoration on my Registered Magnum & Here is a Picture of Master Gun Smith Horace Booth Owner of Ford's custom refinishing with his Nephew looking on, as well as a Picture of their Grandson Travis who assembles and work's on customer's gun's as well. All of the employee's are relatives who Take much pride in their Craft. Don't hesitate to call them if you need your gun's repaired they certainly know what they are doing. Regards, Hammerdown

I've posted these pics on other threads, but here is my collection so far...6" Pre-27... the 5", 4", and 3 1/2" all 27-2. Still searching for the right 8 3/8", and maybe a 6.5"...then I can start on nickel!

What kind of grips are those on the 3 1/2 gun? The bottom of the grips looks very narrow.

Hey boykin...Good eye...Sadly they are Cokes that were apparently shortened by a previous owner. Although I would certainly personally never do that to Cokes, I must say I like the way they look and feel. Whoever modified them at least knew what they were doing.
