There is something I like about STAG.......pictures please!

Those are all beautiful! Is there a good place to buy some of these? I have tried google in the past, but come up empty handed.

Stag Grips

On the nickel pre-war Heavy Duty #3 in the row (c. 1934). Can't find the pic of the HD by itself.

I don't think that I have ever seen that style grip made from stag. They look great. Any idea who made them?

Almost didn't post these as I am no kind of photographer; however, I'll show them anyhow. Both are Rocky Mountain Elk anters, the M-58 grips are by Eagle Grips and the M-65 grips are by a nice guy in Fort Collins, CO who advertises on GB.

Boykinlp They are not marked and am not sure but would guess Eagle grips. Bought them here on the Forum many years ago from one of our nice members.

By the way great thread! Thanks.

RBuck,
I absolutely love the Herron knife. I am a South Carolina guy, and I believe George Herron was too.

If those stag grips are the ugliest j frame grips you have ever owned, I would like to see your collection, because I think they are really nice.

Like the title says, there is something that I like about stag. It looks good on anything. Each piece has its own character (lotsa bark, some bark, no bark, sambar, elk, and moose among others). Not as expensive as ivory (very nice too, BTW). Here are some of my examples. Show us what you have!

I'm trying to find some good quality stag for a friend's 1911...have no idea in this area and need some help. Thanks
