A Czech friend just told me of the death of a Czech soldier who was mortally wounded in Afghanistan.
The US media almost never mentions our allies there unless Prince Harry is posted in that troubled country.
They also serve, and as you'll see in the video, the face of grief and loss is universal, at least in the West.
I think this is a Catholic ceremony. I'll ask my friend what was said, but I think I can guess the gist of it. She may be able to add details of the incident in which he was shot.
Look carefully in the audience. I think one mourner is a general. The man being interviewed toward the last may be their Sec. of the Army, or some such.
I wish the media would honor our companions in arms, who bear much of the burden in this war. I think the networks want Americans to believe that we stand alone in a conflict which they seldom support.
