Thin grips for K/L frame

Thanks for all the suggestions.

I'm going to try the Ahrends, in oiled walnut. They're organic and all natural, so that makes them good, right? In addition to beautiful, of course. I'll post a pic when I get them.

I never considered the "organic" and "all natural " aspect of wood.
But yes walnut and linseed or tung oil would be organic as long as the trees haven't been sprayed with chemical pesticides.
I wonder if my real elephant ivory grips would be considered
"organic" and "all natural" ?

Having owned Ahrends grips with both the polyurethane and tung oil finishes, I can definitely recommend the tung oil finish as well worth the extra cost.

I like wood also, but on my L frame 686, which is my field gun, I've had Bill Davis grips for 20 years. Bill made PPC revolvers and developed a very attractive and functional grip. Importantly for your criteria, I have shorter stubby fingers also and I find the Davis grip has quite a bit less girth high up in the web of your hand.

Mr Davis recently recovered the rights to produce his grip again from a major grip maker and is making them again. I'll see if I have a photo of my 686 with the Davis Grip and post it

Those are really nice. Thanks for your service, by the way.

I wonder how much work/money would be involved in making a set of grips with my collar devices embedded. I've got a whole bag full of 'em and it would be nice to see them doing something useful.
