Things you see when you look at your window

This guy paid us a visit last week...

Coopers hawk, from what we can tell. Kept the squirrels and LBB's out of sight for awhile.
We're in the city, but we see raccoons, 'possums, and the occasional raptors on a regular basis.

This is where a hawk hit a dove on one of my feeders...

Speaking of feeder raiders, these are a couple of my favorite photos taken a couple of autumns ago...

How many feeder raiders can you see in these photos?

Drew,
Go to google and put in "Roller Feeder".
The birds will get fed, the limb rats will go goofy, and you will laugh a bunch.
Best,
Gary

HUMMMMM. I know I am a flatland tourister and warm clime kinda guy--buttt---all that snow is makig me cold--so cold--I had to turn up the temp.
They are--however--good pics and I am glad ya'll took the soas I could see 'em without gettin into snow.
Blessings

Thanks for the kind words on the Pileated photo!

They land on top of the post supporting the feeders and look into the dining room window. If they see any movement, off they go!

We have at least four of them in the neighborhood. Fun to watch.

Mickey,
you must have been around a long time to remember
the red-headed, double-breasted matress-thrasher.
They are best observed in their natural habitat.

I first saw this guy from my front window. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to snap a picture before I ran outside with my rifle.
No "before" shot, but here's an "after" photo. :)
