Thinking about a mini Glock?

Several folks here have mentioned adding grip extensions, etc. on the Glock 26/27, I have to ask why, that basically defeats the entire purpose of the gun, especially if carrying it concealed is your goal. The grip is the hardest part to conceal and adding to it with a grip extension only makes it worse. I'd much, much prefer to have the 19/23.

As a side note, any mid-size semi, 19/23, SIG P225/P228/P229, even a full size 1911 or Hi-Power can be easily concealed with nothing more than a t-shirt providing you have a good belt and a quality IWB holster. I'm partial to Milt Sparks VM2 and Watch-6, myself.

Steave, the +1 grip extension on my 27 doesn't add much lengh to the grip but adds 1 round and a little place for my pinky.

I have the Pearce grip thingy on mine, the Plus One extension isn't approved by my employer. It adds virtually no bulk, the gun hides just the same in an ankle holster, but it improves handling 100 percent by giving my pinky something to hang on to.

Those are geat looking grips on the Sig. I'm curious as to who made them? I'd love to get a set like them for my 229 if such is made.

They're Hogues, found here. My kids gave them to me for Father's Day a couple of years ago. They're not approved, but I use them anyway, and put the factory plastics on if I absolutely can't avoid Quantico.

The mini Glocks are great little guns. I carried a Glock 27 for a several years, and switched to a Glock 33 (357Sig) about 4 years ago. The mini Glock has been my main backup for work, and as off duty carry about 80% of the time. 10 rounds of 40 or 357 are plenty, and I wouldn't worry about the +1 or +2 magazine add-ons. They kind of defeat the purpose of the ultra small concealment grip on these pistols. These minis are just as accurate as the full size Glock models and stand up to a lot of practice shooting. On the ankle or inside the waistband they work great for concealment as a primary or backup gun.

I have a G30 that I really like. I don't carry it but have in the past. It currently stays on the night stand.

By the way, every time I see "mini Glock" in the title of this thread, I start hearing Steely Dan singing "Pixeleen"!
