This would be a duty gun. Always wanted one and now I'm getting that feeling in my gut when its time to pull the trigger so to speak. Maybe even Ni plated with some sexy stocks. Wanenmacher's Gun Show is in November, guess I'll start my quest there.

I have one, they are nice guns. The prices have steadily risen on this gun since last year from $700/$750 to $850, nickels are close to 1k. I'd say now will be cheaper than later, which may be the excuse you need.

My other thought is they are definitely not small guns, but I love mine. Good luck!!

Did they make any of these in nickel? I never saw one. The stock combat finger groove grips look nice, but for actual use you either love 'em or hate 'em. I had custom Keith Brown grips made for mine.

I've seen two of them.

I picked up a nice blued one, no box or anything, a couple weeks ago for 675 and I love mine. Expensive to shoot but shoots great. It was the only one I ever saw and I had to have it. Good luck finding yours.

A 4" would be fine but I really like the looks of the 3". I think it would make a better length as an investigators sidearm as well.

24-3 3" definitely a nice gun. Had one years ago as well as a 4".

But,never saw one in nickel. Later versions 24-?(6). small runs in blue and nickel all 3" barrels.

Of course there the 624 in stainless that I have seen polished to look almost like nickel.

Happy hunting.

Dave
