So its been about 2weeks since i've purchased any .22cal ammo and this is the outcome of me not spending money on my rifle.
Spikes Tactical Lower I got on Gun Broker for $150

I wanted to see what it would like with a upper on it so i slapped the 15-22 upper on it.

Some folks just have too much free time on their hands. :D

Maintaining a 20 acre homestead, with 4 horses, 10 dogs, pastures to cut, apple orchard to spray, thin & pick, large vegetable garden... well ****, I just don't have much extra time. Forgot to mention, I run a print company also. The other stuff is just more fun.

My favorite hand guards. Guess I'm nostalgic, I went to Basic Training at Fort Sill OK in 1993, my unit was the last one there to qualify and go through basic with the A1. LOVED that rifle. The automatic fire course was awesome.

You have it set up nicely.

The Magpul front pieces have a similar feel, love it compared to the round A2 style.

gotta love Spikes. I have their carbine and Middy and love them both. my bushy predator is p/o'd it did not get out hunting this season!

Here's another perspective...

I wish I had multiple horses and dogs and an apple orchard and a large vegetable garden and 20 acres to put it all on wherein I can shoot my own guns without bothering my neighbors. <sigh>

I'm in the process of building a .22 shooting range on the edge of my property, in a ravine. Due to the horses & dogs, I will not use it until my stamp comes in for my 22Sparrow.

Y is that... My range is kinda beside my horse field and they stand there and watch me shoot, same with my dogs.

I did the same thing! Went looking for some .22 and instead found a Mega Arms lower and 300 5.56 rounds for $275.
Threw a J&T Distributing LPK and a BLACKHAWK! tube and stock on. Also picked up a few pmags. Now just waiting for a Mega upper to come back in stock.
Congrats on the buy!

I especially like your choice of stock. ;)
I took it off the 15-22...i think it would be to much $$$ to shoot it with a .223/.556,but for one of those who gives kind of days yes :)

It's been an expensive month for me.. Just got another order of goodies today. Still trying to get my FDE Furniture order ready but not one place has all of the components!

Yeah me too! I have a wish list saved at Midway right now and two of the pieces I REALLY need are back ordered till August!!!! It would just look weird getting the FDE ACS Stock and not the handguard :)

This is where I'm at after my small parts order came in this morning.

Added the KillFLASH the MagPul enhanced trigger guard, an Otis fiber optic chamber flag/inspection tool and also picked up a set of SureFire EP4 Defender ear protectors.
