That looks like 2 prints, one front and one rear. We had a young black bear walk across our patio about a week ago. My neighbor had bags of trash in the bed of his truck. First bear I've seen here in 10 years.
Tennessee back bear are smart enough to stay away from a hunter toting a bow weighing 900 pounds.
I would like to know what kind of arrow that thing slung!
They warn people out here also. Don't mess with the Buffalo. Last summer some Chinese fellow got his wife up next to a big Bull Buff and he stuck a horn through her side..Darn near killed her. 2000 lb critter..go up and pet it!? yep Darwinism at work. I won't even get up close and personal with a 1200 lb cow that knows I feed it...or even a 150 lb deer.
Funny buffalo story: Guy I know bought a bull buffalo calf and raised it up. Him and mamma get a divorce. She gets the place and the buffalo. Along a comes new boy friend with new truck. The bull don't like the new truck and trashes it. Guy tells me how bad he feels about that.
Yup, far more people killed by cows and horses than bears. Years back some Frenchman got killed by elk in Yellowstone, bunch of idiots taking pictures, basically surrounded a herd in a meadow and they stampeded down his piece of trail. Morons. I got some whitetail does that hang out close around my place. Basically ignore me, but, I am careful never to corner one or spook them. Anyone who has ever seen the does fighting would give them respect.

we were at Yellowstone 2 years ago and saw an Asian looking guy walk up and try to pet a very large elk with a very large rack which turned and knocked him down and circled around him about 10 feet away .. the only thing that saved him a Ranger in a truck just happened by and drove between the pair separating the two .. I had just told my wife the guy was going to get gored when he tried to pet it and it almost happened .. that day there were a lot of elk around "Old Faithful" area and people were being told by rangers to move a couple were forcefully moved from the area by I guess were called Park Police after refusing to follow directions ..
They acted like they were stuffed animals instead of the wild animals they are !!
Just a reminder. The National Park Service reminds people not to take 'selfies' with Bears. (I am NOT making this up.)
How am I late to a bear and a bigfoot's (bigfeet?, bigfootsies?) thread?!?
I need to pay closer attention.
1 question. How did the bigfoot get paint on his foot? Someone thought he was huffing. Aren't there laws about that? Didn't anyone check his ID before he bought the paint? Inquiring minds, you understand.
I would like to know what kind of arrow that thing slung!
That might have ended badly, you could have stepped in scat.
Speaking of scat, bears love blueberries & you haven't lived until you've come across a purple steamer.![]()
